Centre for Public Education (CPE)
The role of the Centre for Public Education is to ensure that the teaching and research of the Institute is accessible to people who are unable to study full-time with the Institute but who are interested in relations between Jews, Christians and Muslims and/or who require knowledge in this field for professional reasons. Our public education courses were developed because it became clear that a greater understanding of the historical and contemporary encounter between the three faiths has increasing relevance for anyone working in or with faith communities. The Centre has been working with a range of organisations delivering specially tailored education programmes for public sector bodies, wider community-based groups and faith communities, such as the NHS, the Metropolitan Police, and Cambridgeshire County Council.
